Lisa Benson

1st Grade

Lisa A. Benson has been St. Matthew Catholic School’s first grade teacher for nine years. During this time, she developed a strong rapport with her students’ families. Raised in Catholic tradition, she has a deep understanding of the importance of spiritual, as well as academic development. Previously, she was a pre-school teacher at many locations across the U.S.
Mrs. Benson has a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Hardin-Simmons University (Abilene, TX). Mrs. Benson is enrolled in the graduate program at UNO. She is completeing her Master's in Reading. She will graduate in December of 2012. She is a member of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development. Mrs. Benson moved to Bellevue in 2001, where she resides with her husband and daughters.
