Amy currently resides in Plattsmouth, Nebraska with her husband, OJ, and their four children, Mariah, Molly, Mary and Luke. She grew up in Nebraska City, attended Lourdes Central Catholic School for twelve years and graduated the top of her class. She attended Peru State College where she earned a bachelor's degree in elementary education, as well as completing several graduate level courses. For many years, she was a stay-at-home mom. However, the passion for being around children never subsided. She became coach of the Plattsmouth Summer Swim Team program and also headed for a classroom setting. Amy taught 3rd grade at St. Matthew for one year before switching grades. As the current 5th grade teacher, she is treasuring the joys of teaching. She hopes to continue to grow and work as a teacher in the coming years.
