Mrs. Linda Tummons is originally from Lawrence, KS. She graduated with a Bachelor's in Music Education from Baker University in Baldwin, Kansas. She has been teaching music at St. Matthew for seven years. Her teaching career began in O'Neill, NE in 1971. She and her husband moved to Elmwood, NE where she taught music for the Elmwood-Murdock School District until 2002. She earned her Masters Degree in Music with an emphasis in choral music conducting.
She is married with three children--Tricia, Aaron and Amanda. Tricia and her husband live in Phoenix, AZ and have two daughters. Aaron and his wife live in Weeping Water, NE and have two sons. Amanda lives in Zionsville, IN with her husband and baby daughter. One of Mrs. Tummons greatest joys is to spend time with her chldren and grandchildren. She also likes to travel with her husband whenever they get the chance. She and her husband attend Living Faith United Methodist Church where she plays the piano for worship services.
She enjoys the students and the opportunity to teach here at St Matthew. She appreciates the faculty and staff and is thankful to all the parents for sharing their children with her.
