"My father was in the Air Force when I was growing up, and we were stationed at Offutt. My three years at Cardinal Spellman (now St. Matthew) helped form the entire person I was to become – I was taught my faith, academics, and compassion for classmates and others around the world. My husband Tom (now retired Air Force) and I wanted to send our children through Catholic education, and we were excited to receive orders for Offutt Air Force base. With St. Matthew School and Parish, we truly found a sense of community for our family. After transferring to another state for three years, we were able to again return home to Bellevue and thrilled to have the chance to send our children to St. Matthew again.
